What is RSI?
RSI stands for Repetitive Strain Injury. It usually affects people that
perform a repetitive task all day long. The repetitive movements gradually
strain tissues of the hand, wrist and/or arm and over time this causes
inflammation and pain. Nowadays, the most common RSI is caused by the use of
the computer mouse. A large percentage of people who work all day long on a
computer at least started noticing some early signs of RSI and
many are concerned that it might worsen other
time.
However, RSI is not limited to computer users. Anyone performing the same
movement repetitively over a long period of time can be subject to RSI. For
example, musicians are known to suffer from RSI. Soldiers can also suffer of RSI because of the long hours they spend grasping their
machine guns...
3G Handheld Ergonomic Mouse
During the past few years I tried out
nearly all the ergonomic mice available on the internet. The only one that
I’ve found really effective in alleviating RSI is the 3G handheld mouse. It
didn’t completely eradicate the problem and I do occasionally experience a
slight pinch feeling in the wrist when I spend long hours clicking and
clicking.
However that pinch feeling is manageable and I can easily live with it.
Besides being effective against RSI, the 3G mouse is very easy and
comfortable to use.
I actually find it more comfortable to use than a
regular mouse and I would probably keep on using it even if I wasn't prone
to RSI anymore. I simply can't live without my 3G mouse. What I like most is that you don't need to keep your hand on
the table. You can keep your hand resting in a comfortable position on your
lap. I usually leave the mouse on my laps while typing with both hands on
the keyboard and reach for the 3G mouse whenever I need to click or move
the cursor.
